On July 20, Sunday morning, an accident claimed Lakeview motorcyclist Nolan Rayce Ringulet, age 31, after losing control of his vehicle on Hwy 234 near Gold Hill in Jackson County.
Ringulet was operating a 2014 Suzuki motorcycle while traveling westbound near milepost 9 at a high speed after passing a pickup truck when he drifted onto the gravel shoulder, losing control of his vehicle. He was ejected into a field and landed several hundred feet from his motorcycle.
Despite wearing a protective helmet, Ringulet was pronounced dead at the scene. Oregon State Police troopers from the Central Point Area Command office are continuing their investigation. Senior Trooper Jeff Walker is the lead investigator.
