Repairs to a portion of the weather sensory equipment at the Lake County Airport will be delayed until this week, said Lake County Commissioner Ken Kestner.
A component in the local weather monitoring equipment used for measuring cloud height and ceiling functions failed about two weeks ago. Initially, it was thought the equipment would be repaired last week, a parts delivery delay has led to the repair being delayed until this week.
Kestner said that the county learned of the delay indirectly through the Federal Aviation Administration last week.
The part is expected to arrive on Wednesday, March 27, and then an installation date must be scheduled, he said.
