Archery club presents awards for winter league

Members of the Lakeview Bowmens Sports Club gathered for a postseason awards dinner banquet at their indoor archery range on Monday, March 25.

Along with a potluck dinner, those in attendance also enjoyed recognition for efforts during the course of the past winter’s archery league.  Billy Thompson presented medals to the award winners.

In the traditional division, Brad Winters took first place, followed by Jeremy Winters and third place went to Craig Foster.  The men’s division saw Delbert Davis take first place, Steve Albertson in second place and third place went to Billy Thompson.

The women’s division finished with Theresa Lucas in first place, Mary Foster in second place and Tanya Winters in third place.

Youth winners included EJ Albertson in first place, Alex Ball in second place and Steven Lucas in third place.

The archer voted Most Improved was Clinton Charles.

In addition to the end-of-season awards, new officers were also announced for next year.  Craig Foster is the new club president, while Tracy McLain will serve as the club’s vice-president and publicity chair.

Thompson also noted that the club’s upcoming Money Dot shoot event, tentatively scheduled for June, will be held in memory of Stan Wonderley, who just recently passed away.
