Ballots for this year’s Tuesday,May 20 primary election will be mailed out on Wednesday, April 30, according to the Lake County Clerk’s Office.
Candidates on the ballot for the primary election include incumbent commissioners Ken Kestner and Dan Shoun, as well as challengers Lucinda Nolan and Kenny LaPlant, Sr.
The race for Lake County Sheriff, which includes incumbent Phil McDonald and challenger Mike Taylor, will be determined in the fall.
A drop box will become available at the County Clerk’s office for hand delivery also on Wednesday, April 30, said Lake County Clerk Stacie Geaney.
Ballots are due for return by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, the day of the primary election.
Ballot boxes will be available at the Christmas Valley Community Center and Paisley Community Center. A Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy will pick them up at 8 p.m. on the evening of May 20 and transport them to the Lake County Clerk’s Office.
