Betty Langum, 92, died at the Lake District Hospital Monday Nov. 19, 2012.
Betty was born Oct. 27, 1920 to Clark and Carrie May (Woods) Heaton in Pasadena, Calif.
Betty was married to Cliff Langum March 3, 1945 while Cliff was serving in the Army-Airforce. He was honorably discharged in November 1945.
The couple came to Lakeview from Elk Creek, Calif. in 1982. They celebrated 67 years of a wonderful life and marriage together. Betty lost her companion in life on March 31, 2012.
Betty worked for Lakeview Building Material, now ProBuild, as a bookkeeper for 26 years prior to her retirement.
One of Betty and Cliff’s favorite hobbies was growing a great vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff; and son Bob Langum.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Becky Langum; sister Marion Anderson; grandsons, Jed, Zeke, Duane, Scott and John Langum; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
