Lakeview’s Rotary Club will host a fundraiser dinner event on Saturday, March 8, at the Elks Lodge, located at 323 N. F St.
A social hour will be held at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m.
On the menu for the night are bacon wrapped filets, prawns, salad, vegetable and dessert. Complimentary wine will be on each table, along with the availability of bar service in the lodge.
Proceeds from the event will benefit a soccer field project slated for construction just east of the Lake County School District No. 7 office. This new field is being developed for both AYSO and high school soccer programs, said Lakeview Rotary Pres. Darryl Anderson.
Tickets are priced at $75 each, with a total of 175 seats available.
Baxter Black will provide an hour-long program as part of the evening’s entertainment. Black is a cowboy poet, former large animal veterinarian and entertainer that has traveled the U.S. and through Canada for the past 25 years.
The Benson, Ariz.-based entertainer’s venues includes an extensive list of publications that run his syndicated column “On the Edge of Common Sense,” and has published numerous books and released several DVDs, videos and cassette tapes since 1980.
