Paisley’s cross-country runners effectively wrapped up their fall 2013 season at the district championships held Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Valley of the Rogue State Park in Rogue River.
Paisley’s team finished fourth with 100 points, overall, behind Rogue River in third, St. Mary’s in second and Cascade Christian in first place.
A total of 33 competitors made up the varsity boys race, with five Paisley runners placing among them.
Nikolas Arfsten led the Broncos with a finish in 21st place (20:09), while David Feingold finished 22nd with a 20:18. Camden Jones took 23rd with a 20:51, while Ganji Batsaikhan took 31st with a 25:06, followed by Bank Duangkrajai took 32nd with a 27:26.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Paisley squad also competed in the Central Oregon Relays in Bend, which featured 66 teams. Paisley finished 20th, with Feingold, Jones, Arfsten and Batsaikhan competing as a team.
The course consisted of a total of eight miles in total. “I really enjoyed the year,” said head coach Tony Cardoza. “They always worked hard. They run hard. They give it everything they had.”
