Charles “Chuck” Hamilton 

Charles “Chuck” Hamilton, 82, died at the Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2012.
He was born to Charlie and Thelma (Collins) Hamilton in Kosoma, Okla. on March 21, 1930.
Chuck lived in Kosoma until completing his elementary education and then lived in a number of places before settling in Lakeview, where he graduated from Lakeview High School with the class of 1948. He worked for American Box and the State Highway Department for a short time before enlisting into the Air Force in 1955. He retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service. He returned to Lakeview and worked for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department as a Jailer for 13 years before retiring.
He Married Marie Huffman on Dec. 23, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Chuck thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a talented musician and especially enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with “The Jam” at the Alturas VFW hall. He was a long time member of the Lakeview Trinity Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Bill; two step-sons.
Survivors include his wife Marie of Lakeview; son and special friend Joe Bob Addison and Suzie Hanford of Phoenix; daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Carl Forga of Lakeview; brother and sister-in-law Willie and Arlene Hamilton of Lakeview; sister Bonnie Holland of Medford; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Contributions in Chuck’s memory may be made to Lake County Food Share, P.O. Box 1330, Lakeview 97630 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The funeral service will be held at the Lakeview Trinity Baptist Church on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at 2 p.m.. Following the interment in the New Pine Creek Cemetery a pot luck will be held at the Trinity Baptist Church.
Desert Rose Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
