Civic achievements will be recognized at the Christmas Valley Chamber’s Night of Lights awards banquet, set for Saturday, April 13, at the Christmas Valley Community Hall.
A social hour is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $26, and are available at the Christmas Valley Market, Sagewood Grocery and The Lodge at Summer Lake.
Ronne Lindsay in Paisley also has tickets available, or patrons may purchase via credit card by contact the Christmas Valley Chamber of Commerce office.
Tickets are available for the first 75 people on a first come, first serve basis.
On the menu are tri-tip steak or half a baked chicken as well as a vegetarian option.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Blue Velvet,’ with suggested dress described as “blue jean classy with just a hint of blue velvet.”
Awards to be presented at this year’s banquet include Business of the Year, Emergency Responder of the Year, Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Volunteer of the Year.
Raffle items were still being collected and sought at the time this story went to press, and tickets will be sold at the event. Winners must be present.
Super Raffle prizes to be given away that night include a cord of firewood, a ton of hay, a $100 gas card from Ed Staub & Sons Petroleum, Inc., a two-night stay in a lakeside cabin at The Lodge at Summer-night stay in a lakeside cabin at The Lodge at Summer Lake, a gift item from The Willows, a night’s stay at the Summer Lake Hot Springs and a two column by three-inch ad for one year in the Community Breeze newspaper.
