Lake County Fairgrounds will host not only fireworks and fun for the 4th of July, but showcase some of the best local musical talent during the 33rd annual Country Showdown.
The KORV 93.5 FM Country Showdown will feature performances by aspiring country stars, competing for a chance to advance to the regionals competition in Coos Bay for a chance at a $1,000 prize and invite to Nashville for the nationals. Winners of the national competition earn $100,000 and a record contract.
The music starts at 7 p.m., with acts being judged on a variety of criteria to determine the winner. Tickets are $12, and include grandstand seating for the fireworks display following the Country Showdown. Ticket price is reduced to $10 for veterans and seniors, and children five and under are free.
