With a little struggle through the season, the North Lake Cowboys managed one win out of the three games they played in the past week. Head Coach Brian Baker remained in a positive mind frame though as the boys continued to identify aspects of their game that needed fine-tuning.
Their one win of the week came against Paisley, as they traveled to the Broncos’ turf on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Striking them down with a score of 51-43, after entering overtime, Baker was complimentary of their opponents.
Cowgirls to improve after tough 0-3 week
In a tough week for the North Lake Cowgirls, they went 0-3 as they countered a range of teams and tried some new things to adapt their playing styles.
The first two games left them with very wide spreads. On Tuesday, Jan. 8, they traveled to Paisley where the Lady Broncos crushed them, 62-27. After that, the Cowgirls made their way to Triad only to lose again by a large margin of 55-19. Then on Saturday, Jan. 12, the girls welcomed Rogue Valley Adventist High School to North Lake, in which they sparred off in a much closer game, losing 28-25.
