Wildlife conservation enthusiasts will flock to the Lake County Fairgrounds for the annual Lake County chapter of Ducks Unlimited’s fundraiser banquet on Saturday, March 9.
This year’s event kicks off at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Both tri-tip steak and chicken are on this year’s menu, and dinner tickets are $60 per individual and $80 for couples.
More than 18 guns will be given away during the course of the evening, along with other festivities to include live and silent auctions, wildlife art and decoys.
Ducks Unlimited is now in its 76th year as an organization, and is dedicated to the enhancement of wetland habitats on both private and public lands. The organization’s presence in Lake County dates back 36 years.
Since 2005, the organization has spent $4 million and restored or enhanced some 6,000 acres of habitat throughout the county.
