    To the Editor,

Despite the persistent rumors that the Stewarts are enjoying the millions they made and all have beachfront condos in Florida, I have inside information that none of that is true! The reason Stewart’s went out of business is that they did not make enough money to warrant keeping their little store open any longer.

Yet the “I hate the Big Store” gang that frequented Stewart’s is moving on with the idea that they can turn their petty complaints into a movement that will actually compete with The Big Store.

I have bad news for all of you…the margins at the Big Store are not all that fat, either! So your little co-op succeeds just enough to stay in business…The Big Store’s margins shrink below corporate expectations and the Big Store closes!

    What will you have accomplished?

You can contemplate that during your drive to Klamath Falls because you forgot a gallon of milk during your last shopping trip. But maybe you’ll get lucky and they will have some in the “Beer Cave” at the gas station in Bly…if they’re still open…

Better take care of what you still have in Lakeview, folks…winter’s a-comin’…in ways additional to the change in seasons!

    Jules Gilpatrick
