Einstein speaks to packed room at library

Lakeview library’s new meeting room had nearly every seat filled to capacity to see veteran actor Duffy Hudson portray iconic 20th century character Albert Einstein in a performance detailing the scientist’s life on Wednesday, April 16.

Precisely acted with Einstein’s distinct look and German accent, Hudson perfectly captured the essence of Einstein’s brilliance, life, and notable humor during the approximate hour-long presentation, which was followed by a question-and-answer session both in character as Einstein and as an actor portraying him.

Part of a regional tour sponsored by Libraries of Eastern Oregon with assistance from Friends of the Library and Lake County Library District, the free all-ages event was as entertaining as it was informative providing detailed insight into Albert Einstein’s fascinating life and many world-altering accomplishments.

After the main performance several theories were posed by the audience that Hudson proficiently addressed, showcasing his extensive research on Einstein.

An accomplished actor noted for his ability to personify notable icons like George Burns, Dr. Seuss and Edgar Allan Poe in one-man shows, Hudson has appeared on Broadway, in numerous television commercials, films, and theatrical productions.
