Lake County’s chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will host their annual fundraiser banquet on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
On the menu is a roasted prime rib dinner prepared by Jay Farmen and the Lakeview FFA Alumni Association, featuring potato casserole, green beans, a vegetable medley, fresh potato rolls, salad and homemade dressing and ice cream with caramel or chocolate topping for dessert.
Proceeds from the dinner portion benefit the Lakeview FFA Alumni Association, which funds items for the local FFA chapter.
A no-host bar will also be available. The event is open to patrons 21 years and older. Dinner tickets are $35.
Among the highlights for the event are the numerous raffle and giveaway items that will find new owners. Included amongst the firearms are a Marlin 1894 10-shot lever-action .44 Mag rifle, a Taurus 380 pistol, a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Deluxe and a 300 Winchester Short Mag.
A pair of sawblades hand-painted by local artists Marsha Owen and Judy Weber, respectively, also will be given away during the event.
Additional items will include a ladies’ bow, a men’s camo bow, while numerous games, live and silent auctions and a tent raffle will also serve as high points for the night.
There will also be a wall of guns and a general raffle featuring varied prizes and guns as a highlight. Door prizes will also be given away.
