Ethel O’Connor, 84, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Dillon, Mont.
She was born Jan. 3, 1929 to Whitey and Hallie Honnold.
She married Ted O’Connor Aug. 10, 1947 and together had four children.
Ethel loved having family around, especially the holidays that brought the family together. The kitchen was the gathering place where she always had their favorites cooking. She enjoyed painting, crafts of any kind and collecting antiques. She loved spending time hunting arrowheads in various places as well as fishing in Honey Creek.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted; father Whitey; mother Hallie; brothers Bill, Ralph and John Honnold; sister Irene Arzner.
Ethel is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Tim and Martha, Richard and Tammy and Jerry and Janet; daughter Hallie Woods; brother Don Honnold; sisters Madge Gallo and Betty Dick; grandchildren Michelle, Dalena, Sherry, Tammie, Janet and Shaun, Gina, Rondo, Ethan, Grady and Carol, Kelly and Tim, Amy and Travis, Timmy and Roxy and Jimmy and Kelli; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She will be loved and missed by family and all who knew her.
A family service will be held in the summer at the Westside Cemetery in Lakeview.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barrett Hospital & Healthcare Hospice, Dillon, Mont. or Westside Cemetery in Lakeview.
