Father-Daughter Volleyball Tourney kicks off season

August 6, 2014 by

A fun new twist will open the start of Lakeview High School volleyball practice this year, a father-daughter doubles volleyball tournament.

Kicking off the start of practice for the fall season, parents will join LHS volleyball players for a doubles tournament on Sunday, Aug. 17 starting at 2 p.m. at Honker Court.

While the tournament is hoping to solicit an efficient number of dad-daughter teams, substitutes will be permitted if fathers are unavailable. The cost per team is $20, with donations from spectators appreciated, proceeds benefitting the LHS volleyball team.

Official practice of LHS volleyball will start the following day on Monday, Aug. 18, with the first game scheduled at Burns on Tuesday, Sept. 2. A conditioning and setting camp will be held Aug. 11-15 in preparation of the season.
