Flynn’s Furniture and Appliances plans to showcase a healthy spectrum of home-related products at this year’s Lake County Expo.
Store owner Dan Harlan noted that Flynn’s would be represented with two individual booths, one for the storefront and another for U.S. Cellular-related phone products and services.
The U.S. Cellular booth will showcase the latest equipment and service plans available, he said.
For the Flynn’s Furniture and Appliances store, Harlan said that their line of Ashley Furniture would be one part of their display.
“We’ll give people an idea of what’s available from Ashley and show some specials,” he said.
Harlan also said that they are going to be heavily promoting their lines of carpeting products at this year’s event. The display will include both stocked items and those available by way of special order.
Flynn’s, at present, is looking to increase its stocked inventory of carpeting products, Harlan said, a strategy that is going to be kicked off with this year’s Expo event.
Harlan said that the store carries three brands of carpeting: Mohawk, Beaulieu and Cavalier, the latter of which is a new brand, and both residential and commercial product lines are available. Considerations customers may take into account for carpeting needs include wearability, comfort and the general aesthetics, Harlan said.
“It can be hard looking at small samples and projecting as to how it would look in a house,” he said. “I think most people, when it comes to carpeting, have something in mind when they come in, and I hope we can guide them toward that,” Harlan said.
On the electronics side of the Flynn’s Furniture and Appliances/Radio Shack store, Harlan said tentative plans are in the works to have a 3-D television possibly on display.
