Funeral chapel kicks off monthly donations to community groups

April 24, 2013 by

In honor of the centennial celebration underway by the Ousley Osterman Huffstutter Funeral Chapel, a monthly donation was kicked off on Thursday, April 18, for a pair of local community groups.

Chapel owner Jim Huffstutter issued the first of what will be a year’s worth of monthly donations of $100 to the Lake County Crisis Center and Lake County Youth Mentor Program last week.  The donations were presented to Crisis Center Dir. Marsha Landrith and Youth Mentor Program Dir. Kathy Miles.

The chapel has served families in and around Lakeview since 1912, and serves as a sponsor of both organizations.

“We know the Ab Ousley and Everett Osterman families would be proud to know that we are participating in such an endeavor,” Huffstutter said in a press release.
