Harold Louis Icenhower, 75, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born in Oklahoma in 1939 moving with his family to Lakeview in 1944. Harold graduated from Lakeview High School and attended Bethany Bible College, Oregon State College and Southern Oregon University.
The son of a timber faller, Harold grew up in Lakeview and spent 18 years working in the timber industry. Foreseeing changes in the timber industry, he took accounting classes at Southern Oregon College and became a tax consultant and financial advisor. Since 1993 he owned and operated his own business, Icenhower’s Tax and Financial Services. Harold loved fishing, camping, gardening and visiting with clients and friends. He was active in his church and had traveled on several mission trips.
Harold was preceded in death by parents Lee Roy and Emma, and brothers Richard, Maurice, and Joseph.
Harold is survived by his wife Dorothy; one son and one daughter; brother Stephen Icenhower; sister Virginia Moore; and seven grandchildren.
He was well loved and respected in his community as evidenced by over 500 people attending his Celebration of Life Service held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford. Memorial contributions may be sent to World Missions Work and Witness Fund.
