Herbert William Kemry

Herbert William Kemry, 82, of Turner passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011 at his home.
Herb was born in Steamboat Springs, Colo. to John and Grace Sampson Kemry on Nov. 6, 1928.
In the early 40s he moved to Paisley with his family.  He attended school in Colorado and Paisley before going into the Navy. After getting out of the Navy he returned to Paisley and went to work for the sawmill.
He married Ann Cory from Lakeview and they had two sons. They moved to Redmond and that marriage ended in divorce. In Redmond he started in the service station business and had three stations before he retired. They called him Texaco Herb.
He later married Bonnie Stockwell and they had three children. That marriage also ended in divorce.
He dearly loved to hunt deer and elk and fly and deep sea fish. He also loved to play cards and pull jokes on people.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Meryl; brothers Leroy Kemry of Utah, Frank Kemry of California; sister Margaret McLain of Lakeview.
He is survived by  sons and daughters-in-law Daryl and Joyce Kemry of Culver and Jon and Michealle of Turner; son Herbie Kemry Jr. of Baker; daughter and son-in-law Jennilynn and Dale Thornton of Yamhill; step-son Andy Wood; step-daughter Vickie; brothers Bob Kemry of Redmond, Don Kemry of Phoenix and Dwayne Kemry of Eagle Point; sisters Arlene Hanks of Lakeview, Emogene Haynes of Redmond, Betty Earlywine of Apache Junction,Ariz. and Pat Dunbar of Lakeview; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to Herb’s request there will be no services.
