Several items donated to the Lake District Hospital Auxiliary for their Holiday Fair raffle are currently on display at the Hospital near the gift shop.
Janine Simms is selling tickets for the raffle and will be available at the hospital from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day until the Holiday Fair on Dec. 6 and 7 for $1.00 per ticket or 6 for $5.00. Simms is the Hospital Auxiliary chair for the raffle items.
Tickets are also available from any other member of the Auxiliary. So far, the Auxiliary has been donated four items, but will have at least a couple more by the Fair.
Current items include a framed photo from Holloway’s Photography, a carved wood item from Doug Dollarhide, a set of hand-embroidered pillow casings by Linda Greenwood and a quilted wall hanging by Simms.
The upcoming Holiday Fair will be the Hospital Auxiliary’s 42nd annual event of the name. Each year, the Auxiliary raises money for the hospital and hospital equipment through the event, located at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
In addition, the Fair offers many locals and local merchants the chance to showcase hand-made items, sweets, clothing and a variety of other Christmas gift options.
