ILC Project Team meeting agenda set

Lakeview’s Innovation and Learning Center has set the agenda for its three-day project team meeting from Wednesday, July 31 to Friday, Aug. 2.

The July 31 gathering will be a community information forum held at the Lakeview Elks Lodge (TBD) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Klamath Community College Pres. Dr. Roberto Gutierrez and Lake County School District No. 7 Supt. Sean Gallagher will co-convene the forum.

Aug. 1, will be the meat of the three-day affair, as a variety of sessions will take place throughout the day at Memorial Hall.

The project’s Governance Committee will open the meeting from 8 to 9:45 a.m., which will be followed by a 10 a.m. to noon series of project team updates by Dr. Gutierrez and Supt. Gallagher.

Participants will break for lunch from noon to 1 p.m., and reconvene with a 1 to 2:30 p.m. project team, governance committee, and finance and grants committee session. After hammering out the details, the group will take a quick fifteen-minute break. The project team will again convene from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., followed by closing comments and discussion to precede adjournment from 3:30 to 3:45 p.m.

Aug. 2, features the 10 a.m. to noon Declaration of Cooperation signing ceremony at the Daly Middle School, which will be commenced by Dr. Gutierrez and Supt. Gallagher.

From noon to 2 p.m., the governance committee is tentatively scheduled for a meeting.

The ILC is a collaborative effort between the existing Lake County Renewable Energy Working Group and regional stakeholders to produce both the governance structure and learning opportunities at the ILC.
