James Richard (JR) Stewart

James Richard (JR) Stewart, 69, died at his home Saturday, July 14, 2012.
JR was a life-long resident of Lake County.  He was born March 31, 1943 in Lakeview to Jim and Joan (Dalen) Stewart.  A graduate of Lakeview High School, he attended Southern Oregon College in Ashland.
JR was an active member in the community.  He was an avid pilot: as a long-time fixture with the area Mercy Flight and as a crop duster with long-time business partner and friend Glen Plato.  JR was a very active Shriner and Mason, locally, regionally and nationally.  He served on the Lake District Hospital Board and also a four year term as a Lake County Commissioner.
JR was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by brother Jack Stewart of Bend; sister Fran Bonnarens of Lebanon; nephews Joe Bonnarens of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Jim Bonnarens of  Cache, Okla.; nieces Keri Francek of Redmond and Krista Stewart of Bend.
Per his request, a private family ceremony will be held.
