Paisley’s Lady Broncos volleyball squad picked up momentum in the latter part of last week with a win in three sets against visiting Surprise Valley on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Scores were not available for the match at press time.
“It was just a collective effort from the floor,” said head coach Marty St. Louis. “I really like seeing that. You don’t want to just rest your laurels on one person.”
Conversely, Paisley fell short in a road game against Butte Falls on Friday, Sept. 20, losing 3-2. Scores for this game were 20-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20 and 15-9.
St. Louis said there wasn’t any one particular reason that resulted in the Lady Broncos’ loss, other than possibly general anxiety and hesitation in their play.
The win against Surprise Valley effectively served as a boost to the team’s collective momentum and morale.
“I think we’re pretty upbeat and positive that we’ve got some things figured out,” St. Louis said.
Paisley’s lone contest this week is a road game in Surprise Valley on Friday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m.
