The Lady Honkers finished the first half of the season on point for league play with a win over Rogue River. Lakeview outscored Rogue River in all four quarters on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in a 59-27 Southern Cascade League game. By the end of the first period the Honkers had taken a firm 16-5 lead.
“Overall, the team is playing well together and continues to make the needed adjustments to continue their success,” said head coach Brandi Harris.
Carley Cahill scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Honkers. Amanda Arcularius added nine points with eight steals and Tori Crumrine led the team with four assists.
The first game for the second half of their season started off on the right path with a win against the Illinois Valley Cougars. The Lakeview girls brought an exciting game on their home court Friday, Jan. 31, with a 46-38 game.
“The team knows what they need to do to get the job done each game and continue to be successful,” said Harris.
Delaney Hall led the Honkers with 23 points, and added six steals. Arcularius added 10 points for the Honkers. “The girls continue to play tough and are holding second place in league. We are excited about where we are in the season and are looking forward to more success.” The Honkers played St. Mary’s at home Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.. The Lady Honkers will Travel to Bonanza Friday, Feb. 7.
