As the Lakeview High School girls basketball ends its regular season, the week proved a challenging one, both physically and mentally. They came away with 1-1 and prepare to enter a face off to join the playoffs, doing so through learning all of the lessons the season provided.
Playing against Cascade Christian in a tough home game on Tuesday, Feb. 5, they played their hearts out on senior night. Unfortunately, though they brought a heightened level of intensity, they ended up falling to the Challengers, 61-53. “I felt good about that game,” said Head Coach Brandi Harris. “Our free throws were good, our shots were good I think it just came down to our defense.”
They then met Rogue River at Rogue River on Friday, Feb. 8 in their last league game of the season and won handily, 55-25. Though Harris said that they were not expected to have quite as much of a tough time against the Chieftains, it still had it’s challenges.
