It was a sad end to the season as the Lakeview girls basketball team fell to Cascade Christian.
After locking down a home game to break the tie that held them both at second place in the district, they played Wednesday, Feb. 13. They fought hard to keep up with the Challengers, but in the end, they fell, 55-50.
With the support of Lakeview fans turning out in full force, the game proved early on to be a tight race between the two teams.
Having lost twice before to the Challengers, the Lakeview girls took the threat seriously. Head Coach Brandi Harris vowed to step up the defense that they would bring to the game. She recognized a few real threats that Cascade Christian had in their arsenal and she wanted to keep her girls low on the defense.
