Lake County Senior Center receives $66,000 donation

November 6, 2013 by

Lake County Senior Center recently received a donation in the amount of $66,000 from the Don and Susan Rose Family Trust, as a final dispersal sum.

The donation does not have a specific dedicated use, but will be utilized for general continued operational costs, said Lake County Senior Center Board Chairman Darryl Bender.

He said that the board will discuss potential uses for the funds, and stressed that the center works to focus its services throughout the entire county.

“They’ve generously supported the senior center for two or three years,” Bender said, noting the donation marked the fourth sum from the Rose family trust.

“It will help to continue a service to our local (seniors)…,” Bender said. “It will be a real life-saver.”

For more information, contact the Lake County Senior Center, located at 11 N. G St., at 541-947-4966.
