On Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8:00 am, Lake Health District will host a charitable triathlon and duathlon for all willing participants to tackle the challenge.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Lakeview Home Health and Hospice to raise awareness for the Hospice program.
Located at the Lakeview swimming pool, the “It’s About How You Live Triathlon” will consist of a 475m swim, a 20k bike ride and 5k run. Those who wish to participate in only the duathlon may join when the triathlon participants finish the swim. The race may be completed as individuals or as a 2-3 person relay.
Awards will be presented to the top three men, top three women and the top three relay teams of each event.
For the kids, there will be three age appropriate obstacle courses for them to enjoy while they wait.
Awards, prizes and food will be available to the public at the finish line on Center Street by the pool.
Registration is open to the public with a $40 fee before Friday, Aug 1. and a $60 fee after Aug 1. If participants register before the date of the event, they are guaranteed a free T-shirt.
Registration can be completed online through a downloadable form or it can be mailed to Home Health & Hospice building at 922 S. 7th St., Lakeview, 97630.
