An exciting weekend of archery competition and trail shooting is slated to go down at the Warner Canyon Ski Area July 26-27, hosted by Lakeview Bowmen’s Club.
Featuring two separate 20-target courses, participants will ride the ski lift to the top then shoot their way back to the lodge, scoring points for accuracy on 3D targets set up along the path.
The weekend’s festivities will also include a Saturday, July 26 evening tri-tip dinner at the Warner Canyon Ski Area Lodge presented by Lakeview Bowmen’s Club and Highlander Ski Club, with lunches also available for sale during the multi-day competition. Dry camping will be available at the ski hill parking lot.
The ski hill shoot is one of the big annual fundraiser events organized by the Lakeview Bowmen’s Club, along with the Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot, Money Dot Archery event and the appropriately named Freeze Your Buns shoot in February. Proceeds from the event go towards maintaining the Lakeview archery range.
Registration costs are $25 for a day, or $35 for both days. A family package is also available, $35 for a day and $45 for both days. A non-shooting all day lift pass is $5. Registration begins at 8 a.m. both days, with shoots happening all day.
Dinner tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 12 to 6, under 6 eat free. General public is welcome, dinner attendees need not be registered for archery events.
