Lakeview serves get drop on opposing girls teams

The Lakeview volleyball girls served a winning game against St. Mary’s at the LHS home court on Tuesday, Sept. 24, following it up on Thursday, Sept. 26 with a win against Lost River.  Both matches ended with Lakeview winning 3-0.

“This was a very good week for us coming off a very good performance at the Bandon tournament,” said the girls volleyball coach BJ Albertson, “The team is playing well and continues to improve.”

Albertson has been able to see more consistency in the girl’s serving, which he said forces other teams to return difficult and well-placed serves. The girl’s passing ability has allowed them to set up returns and spikes more consistently as well.

“We are continuing to work on getting all of our hitters involved in the attack at the net,” said Albertson.

Their next two games will bring the Lakeview team to four out of eight league games played.
