Town of Lakeview Police
Sunday, June 9— Lakeview Police were informed of graffiti located at the train barn off South 3rd Street at approximately 3 p.m. The graffiti appears to be linked to the markings located on North 4th Street. The case is under investigation.
Tuesday, June 11— Lakeview Police Department assisted Lake County Community Corrections and arrested Bernard Marrietta Sr. for a parole violation at approximately 4:50 p.m. on the 100 block of North D Street.
Wednesday, June 12—Lakeview Police Department took a report of an attempted theft that occurred on April 22, 2013. The report was taken at approximately 4:26 p.m and has since been referred to the Lake County Juvenile Department.
Wednesday, June 12—Lakeview Police Department made contact with the driver of a Mazda B2600 in the Safeway parking lot at approximately 6:28 p.m. It was learned that the vehicle was being operated without insurance, and driver Sinjin Hall was issued a citation for no insurance and the vehicle was impounded.
Thursday, June 13—Lakeview Police Department assisted Lake County Community Corrections and arrested Tony Ramirez for probation violation at approximately 2:40 p.m. on the 100 block of North D Street.
Sunday, June 16—Lakeview Police Department received a report of telephonic harassment at an unknown time on the 800 block of South 4th Street. The case has been submitted to the District Attorney’s office.
Lake County Sheriff Department
Friday, June 14 — Lake County Search and Rescue responded to a report of a downed aircraft on the north side of Abert Rim. The aircraft was located cooperatively by air and ground search crews, and the pilot was rescued from the scene uninjured. Assistance was provided by Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service law enforcement personnel.
