Lakeview Police Report

  • Thursday, Nov. 7 — Lakeview Police Department assisted Adult and Protective Services regarding a report of assault.  The case is under investigation.

Oregon State Police Report

  • Tuesday, Nov. 12 — Joshua Jones, 36, of Snowmass Village, Colo. was stopped for a speed violation on Hwy 395 East near milepost 142.  Consent to search was granted and  12.05 oz. of marijuana was found hidden in the vehicle.  Jones was lodged in the Lake County Jail for possession of a controlled substance/distribution of a controlled substance – marijuana.  Deiters Towing towed the vehicle incident to the arrest.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 12 — Jeffry Weaver, 29, of Central Point and his passenger Cheyenna Halling, 29, of Central Point were stopped for a traffic violation.  Several drug trafficking indicators were present.  “Lola” the K-9 drug dog was called for and applied to the vehicle.  A probable cause search resulted in the discovery of five pounds of marijuana and two pistols.  They were both arrested for the offences.  Weaver was additional cited for driving while suspended, a misdemeanor.
