It was a week off for Lakeview High School varsity softball, but some players stayed sharp with a junior varsity game at Henley on Thursday, April 24, winning 10-1.
LHS pitcher Abbi Brooks once again took control in the circle, pitching a brilliant game of one-run, three-hit softball. LHS had a big game at the plate too, led by Amanda Arcularius’ three-hit game, tallying two RBI’s. Brooks added to the offensive output adding two hits of her own, and Katie Hadley hit two singles resulting in a pair of RBI’s.
Jessica Alves, Rachel Leal, Brandi Larson, Tori Crumrine and McKenna Albertson also contributed to the offensive firepower, as LHS exploded in the fifth inning with seven runs to outpace Henley 10-1.
It will be a busy week for LHS softball, hosting four games in Lakeview. Varsity hosted Cascade Christian on Tuesday, April 29, and will next play Henley JV on Thursday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m., and round out the week with a double header against Illinois Valley starting at noon Saturday, May 3. The LHS junior varsity team will host Burns JV on Wednesday, April 30, starting at 2 p.m.
