Lyle Emery Springer, Jr., 70, died in Bend on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Lyle was born to Lyle and Mary (Millard) Springer in Ashland on Feb. 19, 1943. He grew up in Ashland where he graduated from high school in 1962. He moved to Medford, where he worked for a number of years as a truck driver, involved in local and long haul deliveries of building materials. After retiring, he moved to Dallas, where he lived until moving to Lakeview in 2004.
Lyle and Patricia Patten were married in Lakeview on June 9, 2007.
Lyle was a “people person” who always had time to visit with just about anyone who would lend an ear. He thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship he found in attending church. At the time of his death he was a very faithful attendee of the Lakeview Church Of The Nazarene.
Lyle’s favorite pastimes were fishing, listening to Elvis Presley and attending the drag races.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Bobbi Jo.
He is survived by wife Patricia Springer of Lakeview; brother Warren of Canyonville; brothers and sisters-in-law Rodger and Debbie of Gervais, Dan and Lois of Medford, John and Judy of Lakeview and Bob and Virginia of Sheridan; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene with a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall following the service.
