Marian Laverne Gover , 85, died at the Lake District Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.
Marian was born to Milton and Blanche (Smith) Hammersley in Lakeview on Sept. 24, 1927. She was raised by her grandfather, Andrew Hammersley on the family ranch on Thomas Creek. She attended the New Idaho School and Lakeview High School.
Most of her working years were spent driving school bus for Lake County School Dist. #7. In her spare time she was a very active member of the Thomas Creek Grange, Lake County Fair Board and the Lake County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her sister Norma Stever.
Marian is survived by her sons John Moran of Bakersfield, Calif. and Dennis Beebe of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters Linda Hale of Medford and Carol McDonald of Lakeview; special friend Gordon Greene of Lakeview; step-mother Ruby Hammersley of Lakeview; nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Lakeview First Presbyterian Church with a pot luck dinner in the Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
