Marlene Lee, 76, passed away at her home in Lakeview on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
She was born April 26, 1937 in Clearbrook, Minn. to Ruth Pierson Johnson and Leonard Pierson.
She moved to Lakeview in 1947 where she met Alvan “Vannie” Lee and they were married in 1955.
Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, camping reading and baking for others where she acquired the name “Cupcake Granny” from the great-grand kids.
Survivors include husband Alvan “Vannie” Lee of Lakeview; son David Lee of Lakeview; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bert Wells of Lakeview; brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard and Melva Pierson of Portland, Warren and Linda Pierson of Tacoma, Wash., Gary and Anne Pierson of Puyallup, Wash. and David and Lynn Pierson of Spanaway, Wash.; grandson and wife Mark and Kristen Wells of Lakeview; granddaughter and husband Lisa and Jerit Collman of Redmond; great-grandchildren Caiden Hogue, Taylor and Logan Collman; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date
