Mearle Henry Leehmann 

Mearle Henry Leehmann, 90 of Prineville passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at home due to complications of congestive heart failure.
Mearle was a lifetime resident of Lakeview, however spent the last year and half with daughter, Mearle Hess in Prineville.
Mearle was born May 3, 1921 to Walter H. Sr. and Edith (Ogle) Leehmann at home in Lakeview. He was the youngest of three children.
On Feb. 5, 1945 Mearle wed Dorothy L. Dick in Reno, Nev. They were married 50 years and spent their lifetime ranching at New Pine Creek, then later retired at Salt Creek.
He was a member of the Lake County Round-Up Assoc. where he served as president in 1967. Mearle was also a life member of the Lakeview BPOE.
During his life, Mearle enjoyed working with draft horse teams; he also spent many hours working rawhide.
Mearle was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; sister Caryl Coppin.
He is survived by his son John Leehmann of Burns; daughters Sherrill Leehmann of Joseph,  and Mearle Hess of Prineville; brother Walter H. Leehmann of Lakeview; grandchildren Scott Foulon, Kelly Schoo, Sarah Leatherman, Jake Hess and Sami Swisher; great-grandchildren Emma Schoo, Wyatt Schoo, Grant Leatherman and Grayson Leatherman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held.
