Much promised for 2014 RMEF banquet

Members and future members of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) have the opportunity to support wildlife habitat conservation, enjoy prime rib and participate in a number of auctions and raffles this Saturday, Jan. 25.

This is the date of the RMEF Lakeview Chapter’s Big Game Banquet, which begins at 4 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1900 N. 4th St.  Dinner starts at 6 p.m., with raffles starting at 7 p.m.

Over 25 handguns and rifles will be raffled off at the event, as well as a 24-gun Tracker Gun Safe, Montana wall tent and over 100 general raffle items alongside both live and silent auctions.

Tickets are $35 for RMEF members and spouses, as well as guests with a limit of one guest per member.  Tickets can be bought at Dan’s Auto Sales, 339 N. 4th St. in Lakeview.

Two rifles will be raffled separately from the event, one sponsored by Les Schwab Tire and a progressive rifle raffle that also entitle the winner to entries in two hunt prize drawings at a higher level.  All ticket prices will be higher at the banquet.

Les Schwab is donating a Howa Hogue .270 Winchester Game King rifle with a scope and gun case, valued at $700.  Tickets are $10 each, available at Lakeview Les Schwab Tire Center, 422 N. F St. or Dan’s Auto Sales and are limited to 400 sold.

Winners from throughout the west will be entered in a drawing for a Utah 6-day trophy bull elk hunt in Fall 2015.

The RMEF progressive rifle raffle features a Remington 700SPS with camo print, valued at $801.  Tickets are to for $30, available at Dan’s Auto Sales.  Each winner also from all RMEF dinners will be entered into a drawing for an 8-day Idaho elk hunt, to be drawn in 2015.

Tickets for the 24-gun Tracker Safe will also be available before the event at four tickets for $25, limited to 700 tickets sold.

All those that purchase a sponsor or life RMEF membership at or for the banquet will be entered to win a Browning X-Bolt Synthetic Gray Hunter. 300 Winchester Magnum rifle.
