Norma Lucille Stever

Norma Lucille Stever, 83, died at her home on Dairy Creek Lane, Lakeview on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
Norma was born to Milton and Blanche (Smith) Hammersley in Lakeview on Feb. 17, 1929. She grew up in Lakeview and graduated with the class of 1947.
She married Harry Elroy Greene in Reno, Nev. on July 26, 1946 while she was still in high school. He died in 1958 and then in 1959 she married Bob Stever and he also preceded her in death.
Except for a short period of time, Norma lived her entire life in Lake County.
She built her home on Dairy Creek Lane herself. She was very much a home body who enjoyed the privacy of her own home.
Norma thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, with hunting, fishing and camping being her favorite activities. When she couldn’t be outdoors, she spent many happy hours crocheting.
Norma is survived by sons Kelly Greene of Grants Pass and Andrew T. Stever of Colorado; daughter Susan Nottier of Lakeview; daughters and sons-in-law Cathy and John El Lindsey of Lakeview and  Lori and Joslin Baker of Kewaskum, Wisc.; sister Marian Gover of Lakeview; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
