Officer placed on administrative leave

June 5, 2013 by

Lakeview Town Police officer Leroy Hite has been placed on administrative leave by the Lakeview Town Police Department, the Lake County Examiner has learned. An attempt was made to contact Police Chief Jeff Kamp, but he was unable to expand further on the issue other than to confirm the veracity of the report. An attempt was made to get more information from the Town as he is employed by the Town.

Town Mgr. Ray Simms said that the Town could not comment further at this point in time as the proceedings have yet to be resolved.

The Oregon State Police are the investigating agency for the pending case. Once the matter is resolved, the case information will be made available to the public.

I hope if it was due to failed investigation tactics that all of his recent cases in the last year be gone over.. I do so hope it was not for being a dirty police officer that would be a sad thing.
