Pack the House Night for last Honkers home game

Though the Lakeview High School gymnasium has offered a warm home for the community during the frozen, snow packed months, the winter sports season is winding down. Hoping to inject a large amount of school spirit as their head into the home stretch of the league, boys basketball Head Coach Cody Blair is launching a Pack the House Night.

He wants to bring everyone who can attend to the boys’ and girls’ last home game of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Under the theme of “White Out,” Blair is asking all those to attend to wear white in unifying support for the Honkers.

That night will also hold both the boys’ and girls’ Senior Night, bringing out the seniors’ parents to stand with them in front of the crowd. In celebration of the pep band, they will also be honored. Also, due to the cancelation of the last wrestling home meet, it will serve as the Senior Night for the wrestling team as well.

The Booster Club will hold a wall of fame ceremony and donate prizes for a raffle.

Playing Cascade Christian, one of the toughest teams in the league, the games will begin with the varsity girls playing at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity boys playing at 7 p.m. Blair invites everyone out to congratulate both teams on a hard-fought, exceptional season.
