Paisley’s track and field athletes turned out successful performances at the recent May 3 Lakeview invitational meet.
Several of Paisley’s women either won or finished within the top five positions in a series of events.
Junior Priscilla Norris won the 400-meter event with a 1:05.86 finish time, while sophomore Krysta Colahan won the triple jump with a 30’6.5” effort. Lizzie Hyde, also a sophomore, placed third in this same event (24’2.75”), and also took second in the high jump (4’4”).
Colahan additionally took third in the 100-meter hurdles (21.04), and second in the long jump (14’7”).
Paisley’s 4×400-meter relay team of Hyde, Colahan, Norris and Julia O’Leary won the runner-up spot with a 4:36.57 finish, behind Lakeview and ahead of Bonanza.
Additional highlights included senior Jessica Arrington’s third place finishes in both the shot put (28’5.5”) and the javelin (94’7”).
Senior Juneil Keller placed third in the discus event (78’2”), with Arrington additionally placing fifth (72’10”).
Paisley’s O’Leary and Arrington took the number two and three spots in the pole vault with 7-foot even and 6’6” efforts, respectively.
For the men, senior David Feingold won the 400-meter event (56.59), while junior Camden Jones took second in the pole vault (11’6”). Jones additionally pulled a second-place finish in the triple jump (37 feet even) and a second place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (45.92).
The 4×100-meter relay team of Victor Basurto, Nikolas Arfsten, Dillon Walton and David Feingold placed third with a 48.70 finish, and their 4×400-meter relay team of Arfsten, Walton, Feingold and Jones also placed third with a 3:56.10.
Arfsten tied with three other athletes for third place in the high jump with a 5-foot even effort.
