Paisley Broncos fall short against Cowboys, 45-23

North Lake’s Cowboys effectively kept Paisley’s Broncos to single digits in three of four quarters during a Wednesday, Jan. 15, contest at Bronco court, defeating their hosts 45-23.

The first period saw Paisley down by a single point (11-10), but North Lake consistently outscored the Broncos in the following three quarters.

A crowd-pleasing moment at the buzzer ending the first quarter was a half-court lob sunk by Paisley’s Ganji Batsaikhan.

Leading scoring for the Cowboys was Matt Henkel with 12 points, while Ethan Murphy had seven points. Zach McElhatton and Daniel Libolt each had six points.

Other highlights for North Lake included no less than collectively five three-point goals by Henkel (2), Murphy, Nathan Gilbert and Cameron McCord.

Batsaikan led scoring for Paisley with seven points for the night, while David Feingold and Dillon Walton each landed six points.

Paisley faced off at Gilchrist on Tuesday, Jan. 25, and will host the North Lake Cowboys on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 5:30 p.m.
