Paisley track finishes mid-pack at Summit JV invite

Paisley’s track and field Bronco squad finished in third place on both the men’s and women’s sides of the Wednesday, March 19, Summit JV invitational meet held in Bend.

Highlights for the men included a second place finish by junior Camden Jones in the pole vault event, with an 8’6” effort.  Jones additionally took second in the 110-meter hurdles, with a 19.09 finish time, sixth in the high jump (5’4”) and eighth in the 200-meter event (26.62).

Junior Nikolas Arfsten took third in the 800-meter event (2:29.29), eighth in the 1500-meter (5:06.49) and ninth in the high jump (5 feet even).

Junior Jax Wampler finished fourth in the discus (77’8”), 8th in the shot put (27’3”) and 13th in the javelin (84’10”).

Senior David Feingold took sixth in the 200-meter (25.84), sixth in the 400-meter (59.38)and sixth in the long jump (16’1.5”), while senior Alfredo Valdivieso placed sixth in the triple jump (30’1”).

For the Paisley women, sophomore Krysta Colahan won the 300-meter hurdles with a 54.95 finish time, and also took fourth in the long jump (14’6”) and third in the triple jump (30’7.5”).

Junior Priscilla Norris took third in the shot put (26’11.5”), seventh in the long jump (13’9”) and seventh in the 200-meter (29.93).

Senior Jessica Arrington placed fourth in the shot put (24’10”) and fourth in the javelin (84’3”).

Senior Julia O’Leary placed second in the pole vault with an effort of seven feet even, while sophomore Lizzie Hyde took second in the discus (63’9”) and sixth in the high jump (4’4”).

Juneil Keller placed fourth in the discus (61’8”).

The girls’ 4×100-meter relay team of Arrington, Norris, Colahan and O’Leary took second place with a 57.43 effort.

Paisley will next compete at the Saturday, April 5, Condon/Wheeler Invitational meet.
