Paisley’s women’s team finished third overall at the Friday, April 18 Ranchers Invitational track meet held at Crane High School, behind runner-up Adrian and winner Crane.
Several of Paisley’s athletes showcased strong performances, including multiple event wins and runner-up finishes.
Among the victories was sophomore Krysta Colahan, who took the win in the triple jump with a 31’10” effort. Colahan additionally took second place in the 300-meter hurdles (55.29), and also ran a leg of the women’s 4×400-meter relay team (joined by Lizzie Hyde, Julia O’Leary and Priscilla Norris), which ultimately scratched.
Hyde won the high jump with a 4’8” finish, while O’Leary placed third in the 400-meter event (1:11) and tied for second in the pole vault with fellow senior Jessica Arrington (7 feet even). Arrington also took fifth in the javelin with a 91’1” finish.
Paisley’s men finished sixth overall in team results out of 15 schools.
The men’s 4×400-meter relay team of Nikolas Arfsten, Camden Jones, Dillon Walton and David Feingold took home the win with a 3:54.27 finish time.
The team of Feingold, Walton, Arfsten and Victor Basurto took third in the 4×100-meter relay event (49.57).
Junior Camden Jones also won the pole vault event (11’9”) in addition to a third-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (46.78) and fifth place finish in the triple jump (36’0.5”). Seniors David Feingold (25.15) and Dillon Walton (26.21) placed third and fifth, respectively, in the 200-meter event. Afsten took fifth in the high jump (5’2”).
Paisley will next compete at the Summit Invitational in Bend on Saturday, April 26.
