Patrick Lee “Pat” Phelps, 55, died at his home in New Pine Creek on Saturday, March 23, 2013.
Pat was born to Leo and Kathleen (Parker) Phelps in Mobile, Ala. on Aug. 1, 1957. He grew up in southern California and graduated from Icenhower High School in Rialto, Calif.
He married Judy Ann Monson in New Hall, Calif. on Feb. 24, 1982. They lived for a number of years in Cedarville, Calif. where he was able to work at his chosen trades of blacksmithing, building stage coaches and breaking horses to drive. He relocated to New Pine Creek in 2009.
His favorite past times were camping, riding horses and working cows. He was a member of the Lakeview Eagle’s Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leon Phelps.
He is survived by wife Judy; son Lucas Phelps; daughters Sara and Whitney Phelps; 10 siblings; son-in-law Kory Gibson;numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at the New Pine Creek Baptist Church on Monday, April 1, 2013 with interment in the Willow Ranch Cemetery.
