Pearl Jane Lightle

Pearl Jane Lightle, 82, died at her daughter’s home at Westside early Sunday morning Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011.
She was born Nov. 27, 1928 to Homer and Alma (Tuttle) McLain in Spokane, Wash.
She was raised and educated in Lakeview. She married Jesse Lightle on July 4, 1947 in Reno, Nev.
Pearl was always very interested in her family and particularly her grandchildren. Among her hobbies were cooking, quilting and sewing. She cared about her neighbors and friends; always making sure that everyone was warm and had enough to eat.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Oct. 23, 2004; her parents; six brothers; one sister.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Gordon and Debe Lightle; daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Rick Gage; brother Gayle McLain; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;  numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday Sept. 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Ousley Osterman Huffstutter Funeral Chapel.  The interment will follow at the New Pine Creek Cemetery in the family plot.
Honorary casket bearers are Steve Lightle, Tom Lightle, Ryan Lightle, Jake Charlton,  Farron Charlton, Justin Gage and Ben Startt.
A potluck picnic will be held at the New Pine Creek Park following the interment. Contributions  in memory of Pearl may be made to the New Pine Creek Cemetery, C/O Sherrian Glenn, 929 Millview, Lakeview 97630 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Ousley Osterman Huffstutter Funeral Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
