Plush crash injures five

January 23, 2013 by

A single-vehicle crash near Plush on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 20, injured five in total, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash was under continued investigation as of press time, but Sheriff Deputy Chuck Pore said that the crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. an estimated three miles west of Plush.

The sport utility vehicle involved in the crash was traveling northbound when it left the roadway and rolled over in a severe event, Pore said, though the number of times was under investigation.

The cause of the crash is also under continued investigation, Pore said, but it is known that seat belts were not worn. Four of the five passengers were ejected from the vehicle.

Both juveniles and adults were involved in the crash, with one passenger flown to Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland. Two passengers were transported to a Bend hospital.
